According to the World Health Organization, approximately two million people worldwide suffer from schizophrenia. Since it is a chronic mental illness the number of cases per year is very less, but many people are currently suffering from this condition.
Causes of Schizophrenia
Dr Rahul Rai Kakkar tells that there is no single cause of schizophrenia . According to scientists, environmental and genetic reasons may be behind this. Although genetics is the main reason. Because if a person is suffering from this, then it is seen that his relatives are suffering from it anyway. There are also some neurological factors that contribute to this condition. Although the probability of this problem is only 1% in the whole life time, so only one person in 100 may be a victim of schizophrenia. Apart from this, the effect of any major mental injury or incident which shocks the mind can also cause this problem.

Diagnosis-Treatment of Schizophrenia
There is currently no cure for it, it is a lifelong disease. However, to avoid this disease, if it is caught in advance by its symptoms, then through treatment therapy, the patient can get some help. Because it is a mental illness, so the patient also has to be treated mentally with a lot of patience.
If the patient is not helped with the right treatment, then it can take a more fatal form. This leads to his loss of memory, depression, going into isolation and aggressive behavior.
