PM Modi to address nation through 'Mann Ki Baat' at 11 am today watch LIVE here

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people in the country and abroad in his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on All India Radio at 11 AM on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the nation through his monthly radio programme 'Mann ki Baat', at 11 am today.

On June 15, PM Modi had asked people of the country to share ideas for him to address the 66th edition of the programme.

“This month’s #MannKiBaat will take place on the 28th. Though 2 weeks away, please keep the ideas and inputs coming! It’ll enable me to go through maximum number of comments and phone calls. Am sure you’ll have much to say, on fighting COVID-19 and topics in addition to that,” PM Modi had tweeted.

In today’s episode, PM Modi is likely to focus on the relaxations being given from June 1, after over two months of complete lockdown.

In his previous episode, PM Modi had said that poor, labourers are worst-hit by the coronavirus, adding that the government is “making every effort to mitigate people's problems in this time”.

"There is no section in our country that is unaffected by the difficulties caused by the disease. However, the worst affected are the poor and the labourers. Their pain, their agony, and their ordeal can't be expressed in words," he had said in his 65th episode.

He had also stressed that it was important to stay safe to defeat the coronavirus menace, adding that people should follow 'Do Gaj Doori', wear face masks and stay indoors as much possible.

So far, three episodes of Mann Ki Baat have been broadcast amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown.

The central government on Saturday extended the nationwide lockdown for containment zones with a high number of coronavirus cases till June 30 and announced the graded lifting of restrictions for the rest of the country.

India has been under lockdown since March 25 as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.
